For all the reasons behind Trump HHS budget cuts it might just come back on for HHS in years to come too. But these are just starting points. As for HHS getting rid of this "sneak-box" system to help make all its systems a single electronic platform this really wasn't all that covert... it would probably be less a covert ploy to put us and every other electronic hospital, insurance co., insurance claim agent, etc into.
