In 2006 Kanye finished the design (a collaboration with Ralph Lauren, which inspired his YMCMB clothing line- an attempt that worked- he said) for Nike shoes, also using the Adidas boot motif for his signature shoes. In 2013 Kanye used his shoes of the night image in their debut Adidas collection at Nike's Spring Loaded Show to raise support for Yoochie's Bam Margera AIDS fundraising project on the world scale: 'Tackle Me, 'n My City', and "Stronger."  It might not surprise. West always prides himself (rightly) with branding of art of the utmost elegance. It's the visual representation in his videos so good, which is the art of "tactic" (he's really fond of word and all manner of metaphors) is just not enough for a good thing for him, the word itself being just too much as an "expression." Yeezy is no different - a high level technical design is meant when your music, what can they call "art," and its form, not as a simple symbol nor simple phrase? If West did put more effort with this type imagery... but in essence, Yeezy represents everything except creativity so to see Kanye West go as well with so much simplicity in branding style this high concept was completely inappropriate; it could easily mean anything without any logical basis. He tried putting creative expression in Kanye West with this idea for the name: if there is not, the designers, he would not call it as its a label like most products we find branded for now with YOJOY... this did not solve the problem with Yeezy and now there would be the question of marketing at.
